Edge of the Ocean

by Stephen Tarsitano

They say she’ll walk on edge of the ocean

Where the moon dips in the sea

There she’ll spin the seven winds into motion

And catch stars in her dreams

They say if you listen to the winds they will whisper

Silver secrets so profound

They say she sings oh a tale of forever

One that warms you with its sound

Her heart is all of us all

Her soul is all of us all

Every day we answer her call

And every night fall asleep to her song

They say her hair is the fabric of night skies

That blankets us while we sleep

One that teems with hope and fireflies

 Nightlights for us to keep

They say you’ll know in the hush of the night breeze

Of a secret muse inside the world

They say you’ll see all the threads that she weaves

Inside our lives, among us all

Her heart is all of us all

Her soul is all of us all

Every day we answer her call

And every night we fall asleep to her song

Song oh oh oh

Her lullaby oh her midnight cry

Sing away our Siren

Fill us with meaning hope for

The Odyssey we fly in

Our dreams that try to soar

Our dreams that try to soar

I know she’ll walk on the edge of the ocean

Where the moon dips in the sea

There she’ll spin the seven winds into motion

Does she do it all for me
